My Story

"If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his language, that goes to his heart." Nelson Mandela
As a language teacher it is my responsibility to teach students how to connect with language. The personal experience that language learning brings give students a sense of ownership. When I look back on the journey I have had with learning French, it is clear to me how embedded the language is in my everyday life. My personal experience molded and changed how I think about not just learning about the language, but how the language has penetrated every corner of my existence. It is very difficult to imagine a life without this part of me.
All true accomplishments have  a beginning.
Welcome to my journey as a teacher, learner and collaborator. Welcome to my perfect storm.
